Refrigerator thermostat replacement

This is what a refrigerator thermostat looks like.  It is usually mounted on the top of the evaporator on most fridges.  In this case, the model was a Frigidaire.  The defrost function will not work if this goes bad.  Boise.

  7. Wow! I had no idea that a thermostat could even function in that particular shape! But then again, my husband has always been the fix it guy at our house. For that I will be eternally grateful. I seem to be especially challenged when it comes to appliance repair, or even appliance decisions in general. One of the heating elements on our stove went out last year, and it wasn't one of the easy elements, (I miss those!) that you can just switch out. My husband had to rewire the entire stove to fix the one little piece. It's amazing how just a little burn out can create such a big problem!

  10. It's amazing how something that small affects so many other things. Technology is amazing, that's for sure. I've been trying to figure out what small part isn't working in my dishwasher right now. Hand washing dishes for eight people is not a fun thing to do every night.
